 Buying These Parts Are Tricky...Aug 19, 2009
It is not the sellers' fault, but these valves have a very slight size difference from the ones I was trying to replace. Almost imperceptible.. less than 1/8". This would be at the part that joins up to the pool wall. It's very hard to find out if you need an 'adaptor' or not. Intex probably changes the sizes every couple years or more, so that you have to buy parts from them.
Luckily, in my case I only needed the plunger assembly inside, so I took those parts and put them in my old valves - they work fine. Otherwise, the difference was just enough that they would not have worked.

Got the valve within five days and was well worth the money I paid for it.This valve sells on some internet sites for five times more than I paid for it at Amazon. Will do my shopping first at Amazon.com

this is a valve for an intex above ground pool This is not a toy. It works just as well, is not better than the original at a fraction of the cost. If shipped right away.
