Poor quality productJul 29, 2009 I have had this valve for a month now and the large nut that is used to tighten the valve against the outside wall will not hand tighten. One valve works fine and the second one pops loose before it ever gets tight enough to seal. I have been in contact with the company and as of yet have had no luck in getting this problem resolved. I think I will will avoid them in the future and deal directly with Intex even if their price is a bit higher.

Our Summer Was SavedOct 06, 2008 We had tried to order 2 plunger valves with strainer assembly from Intex for over 6 months but the item was always out of stock. Finally it was an item that we could no longer wait to order so we found it in Amazon.com and ordered the exact item we needed. We received it very quickly and since they were identical replacement items they went on easily so we were able to continue using our pool. We are very pleased with both the service and the product. If we need any other parts for our pool, we will save our valuable time and use Amazon.com.

I would buy again! But.....Aug 13, 2007 My experience was I had to install the whole unit and not just my broken part. Also some instructions (none included)would had been nice to tell me this instead of making this a miserable 20-30 minutes by trying to change the plunger only and not the whole unit. I would had given it 5 stars had there been some printed warnings and/or tips. The product works well and I am pleased to have my filter working again. Just be prepare to replace all the parts and not just the plunger or other broken parts. Once again I would buy from these people again and the 4 star rating should not deter anyone else from doing the same.
