a must for Intex poolsJul 30, 2009
Bought an 18 x 48 Intex easy-set, metal-frame pool 3 years ago. The rubber O-ring that's inside the plunger valve wore out and slipped, so it was impossible to raise the plunger up or down. Got an extra set of plungers and all is well. Bummer part is, you have to drain the pool to just below the lower intake valve to replace. However, since daily filtering is a MUST, it needed to be done.
Like anything else, plunger valves do wear out. Mine lasted about 3 seasons (summers only). I plan to purchase another pair to have on hand to replace in a couple of years.

Pool plunger worked like a charm. Makes it easier to change the cartridges in the filter pump now.
